Mrs. John Zimmerman Dead Following Short Illness

Mrs. John Zimmerman died Monday evening at nine o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Manlick, in Lincoln township. She had been sick with the flu. Saturday she developed a case of pneumonia and she was taken to her bed. Her condition continued to become more serious until the end came two days after she was stricken.

Funeral services will be held at Reinbeck Thursday afternoon. Burial will be by the side of the husband in the Holland cemetery.

Mrs. Zimmerman was 68 years old. Her husband died three years ago in March while the family were living on the Knudsen farm in Lincoln township.

There are six surviving daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Hannah Shields of Erie, Pa., Mrs. Lena Frerichs from Minnesota, Mrs. Dora DeGroote from Reinbeck, Mrs. Emma Manlick, Mrs. Sophie VanDeest and Mrs. Anna Isder from Minnesota. The two sons are Herman, who is at Knoxville, and John, who has been at home.
