Former Grundy Girl Cancer Victim at Corwith

Mildred Cook, eldest daughter of Herman Cook, former resident of this city, died Saturday at her home in Corwith, Iowa, after suffering with cancer on the breast bone for the past three years. During that time she has undergone two operations at Rochester. She had gradually grown worse since the first of the year.

She was born on a farm south of Grundy Center on August 24, 1903, and left this city with her family to make her home at Corwith ten years ago, where she has resided ever since.

She leaves to mourn her loss her father, two brothers and one sister. Her mother died 13 years ago in April.

The funeral was held at the Catholic church in Corwith, Iowa. Burial was made in Grundy Center Tuesday beside the mother.
