Old Grundy Resident Dies In Her Sleep

Mrs. T. G. Truesdale Found Dead In Her Bed Wednesday Morning

Mrs. T. G. Truesdale was found dead in her bed at her home in Grundy Center yesterday morning. Miss Aletta Den Ouden, a college student who was staying at the Truesdale home, discovered when she tried to awaken Mrs. Truesdale at the usual time in the morning that death had come during the night. Apoplexy was believed to have been the cause. She passed away without a struggle several hours before morning. She had not been in very good health during the past year but there was no indication when she retired Tuesday night that the end was so near.

The sons, Robert and Elmer, from Mott, N. D., and the daughter, Mrs. Carl Mueller, from Luverne, Minn., were notified at once. Mrs. Mueller arrived here yesterday. The sons are expected this forenoon. Funeral arrangements can not be completed until the sons arrive. They will probably be held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon with the local pastor, Rev. J. B. Bird, in charge.

Mrs. Truesdale was 75 years old on the 22nd of this month. Her maiden name was Mary Herron. She was born in LaFayette county, Wisconsin, and she attended high school and college there. She was married to T. G. Truesdale on March 20th, 1878. The couple came to Grundy county immediately after their marriage and began housekeeping on a farm west of Grundy Center. They remained on the farm until 1885, when they moved to Grundy Center. Mr. Truesdale died January 27, 1929.
