-----------------------------------------------

Edward Arthur Johnson, known by many of us as "Buddy", was born April 13, 1923, and was seven years old. He was absent from school Monday due to a light case of flu. Though his illness was not serious at the time his condition suddenly became critical Monday night and shortly after midnight he passed away. Although his illness was very severe, he suffered but a short while.

Edward was a bright, happy boy all his life, and his sunny smile won friends wherever he went, both among schoolmates and grown people. Even during the last few hours he was considerate of those around him. A beautiful life has passed away. It has been short but fruitful and full of love.

He leaves to mourn his loss his father and mother, two sisters, Lenora and Melba, two brothers, Wendell and Glen, besides other relatives.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Danish Lutheran church at Fredsville with Rev. C. Stockholm officiating. The remains were laid to rest at the Fredsville cemetery.

The entire community sympathize with the family in the loss of their beloved son and brother.
