Mrs. Malinda Scott

Malinda R. Eldred was born in Lansing, Michigan, October 17th, 1845. Was married in 1863 to Francis W. Scott. They moved to Iowa 38 years ago.

To this union nine children were born, six sons and three daughters. Only two sons remain of the entire family. Geo. E. of Waterloo, Ia., and Chas. W. of Waterloo, and both are here today.

Mrs. Scott has been living with her son Charley. She has been sick for some months, but the last four weeks she has declined rapidly and no help could stay the hand of death.

There are three living sisters and the near relative in this place is Mr. J. A. Baughman, a cousin.

The funeral services were held from the Methodist church Rev. Dilman Smith in charge. Interment was made in Clark's cemetery.
