Grandpa Hinders Dies Suddenly

Grandpa Asmus Hinders died suddenly about eleven o'clock Monday forenoon at the home of his daughter Mrs. Henry Dirks. Heart failure was the cause. Though Mr. Hinders hadn't been sick to the extent of having suffered any for the past month he showed signs of failing rapidly and hadn't left the house much during that length of time.

Funeral services will be held at the church in Holland at 1:30 Thursday afternoon. Rev. Pfeiffer will have charge of the services.

Grandpa Hinders was born in Emden, Germany. At the time of his death he was 79 years and seven months old. He came to this country in the year 1886 and ever since that time he has made his home in this county. His wife died at sea as the family were on their way to this country. Upon his arrival here he made his home with this only daughter and child Mrs. Henry Dirks and this remained his home for the twenty-eight years up to the time of his death. Aside from his daughter Mr. Hinders is survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
