Carl H. Voss, 74, of Holland, Iowa, died suddenly Thursday October 19, 2006, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Carl was born February 2, 1932, in Grundy County, Iowa, the son of Carl and Susie (Klunder) Voss. Carl was educated in country school. On June 12, 1952, Carl was united in marriage to Alvina Buseman in Dumont, Iowa. After their marriage they lived a short time in Parkersburg and then moved to the farm a mile and a half west of Fern until 1982 when they built their home in Fern where they still reside. Carl farmed and worked for Patz Equipment, Wick Buildings, he sold Crows Seed Corn and worked as the Church custodian for years. In 1995 Carl retired from farming. He was an active member of Pleasant Valley Reformed Church.

He is survived by his wife: Alvina; two sons: Calvin and wife Candy Voss of Parkersburg, Iowa and Wendell and wife Tracy Voss of Grundy Center, Iowa; two daughters: Diane and husband Bill Brown of Graettinger Iowa and Carolyn and husband Tony Smith of Urbana, Iowa; ten grandchildren: Bryant and Whitney Voss, Justin, Alexi and Nicholas Voss, Dawnielle, Shamus and Christopher Brown, and Skyler and Morgan Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Susie Voss.
