Richard K. Earle, 59, of Grundy Center died from natural causes on Friday, June 02, 2006 in Corona, California.

Richard was born August 21, 1946 in West Union, Iowa, son of Harold "Buzz" and Mildred (Ostrander) Earle. He graduated from Fayette High School in 1964 then received his BA degree in education from Upper Iowa University. On January 9, 1966 he was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Tope in Harmony, Minnesota. Richard and Barbara have lived in Grundy Center since 1989. Richard was a former teacher and was self-employed as a salesman. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Hudson and enjoyed studying the scriptures, fishing, baseball, music, classic movies, and playing cards with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Stuart Jeffrey and wife, Amy Jo of St. Louis, Missouri, and their children, Christina and Ryan; son, Brian Garrett and his wife, Dawn of Grundy Center, and their children, Katie and Sandy; son, Nicholas Aaron and wife, Stacie of Cedar Rapids, and their daughter, Olivia; daughter, Rebeca Jill and her husband, Jordan Dirks of Grundy Center, and their children, Lauren, Avery, and Sullivan; sons, Joseph Michael of Ankeny, Robert James of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jordan Christopher of Waterloo; and brother, Roger and his wife, Jean of Cedar Rapids. Preceding him in death was his parents.
