Reinbeck Woman Died While Away On Visit

Mrs. John R. Stewart Passed Away Sunday at Home of Daughter

Mrs. John R. Stewart of Reinbeck, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James M. Jackson at Jefferson last Sunday night. Funeral services were held at two p.m., Wednesday, at the Reinbeck Congregational church.

Mr. and Mrs. Stewart celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sept. 15 when more than 200 guests from various point in Iowa and surrounding points came to honor them. Mrs. Stewart was Miss May Atwood before her marriage to Mr. Atwood [sic].

The couple came to Reinbeck from Bryant and were among the early settlers of the Reinbeck community. They had resided continuously on the same property in Reinbeck since moving there, except for summers spent at their cottage on the isthmus between Lake Stewart and Lake Okoboji.
