Funeral Rites Held for Mrs. Williams

Ambrosia Long was born in Luzerne county, Pa., Jan. 22, 1858, and died at her home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, July 7, 1930, at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 15 days.

In her early days she moved with her parents to Grundy county, where she was united in marriage to Eugene Williams 54 years ago. Eight children were born to this union, and four of them together with her husband, have passed to the great beyond. Those who remain are: Mrs. Cora Orr, Mrs. Pearl Cleveland, Orvie Williams of Eagle Grove, and Homer Williams of Ft. Dod. She is also survived by three brothers and two sisters who are: Ezra Long of Whitten, Fred of Whitten, Henry of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Lottie Lambert of Curtis, Nebraska, and Mrs. Clar Sisson of Whitten. There are also eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams lived alone for a great many years but during the past two years, her little grandchild, Robert Williams, son of Orvie, lived with her and helped to care for her. Funeral services were held early Wednesday morning and the body was taken to Whitten for burial.

The services were in charge of Rev. W. G. Muhleman, pastor of the Methodist church, who preached the sermon in Whitten.
