Death Takes Old Resident

Mrs. Harm Itzen died at her home in Holland at ten o'clock Sunday. She had been suffering from heart trouble during the past two years, though she was able to be about the house and look after her household duties until the last month.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. A. P. Rickert were held in the Lutheran church at Holland this afternoon. Burial in the Holland cemetery.

Mrs. Itzen was 84 years old last August. She was born in Pilsum, Germany, and she spent her early life there. Her maiden name was Fanke Haren. She was married at her home in Germany in 1872 and she and the husband of her choice had enjoyed happiness and contentment together for fifty-seven years. In 1884 Mr. and Mrs. Itzen and their two sons came to America and located on a farm 2 miles southwest of Holland. Mr. Itzen bought this farm at the time and it still remains in the family. Twenty-eight years ago Mr. and Mrs. Itzen left the farm to make their home in Holland.

Mrs. Itzen is survived by her husband, two sons, Will and Joe, and one brother, Henry Haren, who has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Itzen since they lived here.
