20 Foot Fall From Corncrib Fatal To Christian Guldager
Was Fixing Spout On Building When He Lost His Balance
Was An Early Resident Of Northeast Grundy
Funeral Arrangements Held Up Awaiting to Hear From One Son
Christ Guldager fell twenty feet from the top of a corn crib at his son-in-law's farm four miles east of Dike Tuesday and died shortly after he was taken to the house. He was fixing a spout at the top of the corn crib. A board on which he was standing broke and he lost his balance and fell headlong to a concrete floor below. The fall crushed his skull.
Mr. Guldager had returned from Canada the day before, where he had been on an extended visit to the home of one son and one daughter. The accident happened at the home of Jens P. Thuesen.
Funeral arrangements have been delayed because the family have been unable to get in touch with one son, Theodore, who has been in the west and who is on his way home. As one son and one daughter live in Canada and they wish to come it is probable the funeral will not be held until Saturday.
Mr. Guldager was an early resident of northeast Grundy and a successful farmer. He owns a farm in Fairfield township. His wife died several years ago. Since that time he has been making his home with his children. He was 64 years old.
The surviving children are Hans, who lives in Canada, Theodore, Mrs. Jens P. Thuesen and Mrs. Irving Brown, who lives in Canada.
