Death Takes Reinbeck Pioneer

Carl Tank Passed Away Friday

Death took long time resident of Reinbeck last Friday.

Carl Tank died at his home early Friday morning. He had been afflicted with hardening of the arteries for a number of years. During the past few months he was confined to his home continually.

Mr. Tank was 76 years old. He was born in Germany. He came to Grundy county from Germany and moved on a farm north of town which he owned at the time of his death. He moved to town twelve years ago.

Mr. Tank is survived by his wife, who has been an invalid for nine years. There are two sons and three daughters. The sons are Henry, who is at home, and Will, of Davenport. The daughters are Mrs. Fred Beckman, Mrs. Boege, who lives on the home farm, and Amanda, who has been making her home with her parents.

Funeral services were held at Reinbeck Monday afternoon.
