Dike Farmer Dies Suddenly

Christian Jensen, fifty years old, a farmer residing three miles east of Dike, dropped dead of heart disease at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday as he stood outside a Waterloo physician's office, awaiting an elevator in which to descend. He had been treated for pains in the chest and other symptoms of heart disease for some time, and had made the trip to town especially to consult his doctor. Death was instantaneous.

Surviving are the wife and two daughters, Miss Agatha Jensen, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Torval Danielsen, who lived with her husband at the Jensen farm. Other relatives also remain.

Mr. Jensen resided on a farm near Dike during most of his active lifetime. About a year ago he turned the management of the farm over to his son-in-law and he and his wife made an extended trip through the west.

The funeral awaited the arrival of the daughter, Miss Agatha, of Los Angeles, who arrived Sunday. Funeral services were held at the church at Fredsville Monday afternoon.
