Pioneer Reinbeck Lady Dead

Without a moment's warning, death came to Mrs. Catherine Teel, one of the long time residents of Reinbeck, at her home there Thursday morning. Mrs. Teel, who lived with her daughter, Anita, had been in her usual good health for one of her years. She had arisen that morning at her usual hour, had visited her garden, started a fire in the kitchen range and helped to prepare the breakfast. Seated at the table she had just started to eat, when she slumped forward in her chair. Her daughter called a physician and help from neighbors, but her mother was dead before anything could be done to aid her. Cerebral hemorrhage is given as the cause of death. Mrs. Teel had suffered for some time with high blood pressure, but this had caused her little inconvenience and had not been considered particularly alarming.

Mrs. Teel, whose maiden name was Catherine Heesch, was born in Schleswig, Germany, Sept. 7, 1853. She came to this country as a young woman and had lived her whole life since then in this community. She was married in 1875 to August Frahm in Reinbeck. Mr. Frahm passed away about forty-three years ago and some years after she married Andrew Teel. She was the mother of four children, who survive her. These are Julius Frahm and Mrs. Rosa Gilbert, of Des Moines, Otto E. Frahm, of Waterloo, and Anita Teel, at home. One brother, Claus Heesch, living in South Dakota, also survives.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon.
