Obituary of James Taylor

James Taylor was born near West Bend, North Carolina, October 3, 1865, and died Nov. 7, 1928, in the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown.

He has not lived long in Iowa. He made his home since June with Mr. and Mrs. Robie Prim, north of Whitten, where he was employed. He was a diligent employee on the farm and took an active interest in all his labor. He contemplated moving his family to this locality as soon as plans could be matured.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hester Taylor, of Yadkin county, N.C., and one child by the present marriage and four children of a former marriage, Blanche, aged 18, of Winston Salem, N.C., Albert, 13, and Carrie, 10, at the family home, and Binbow, 16, who was with his father. A brother and sister also survive, Avery Taylor and Mrs. Cleero Wall, of Yadkin county.

The funeral services were held in the Whitten Church of Christ Sunday, conducted by H. A. Wingard, minister of the church. Interment was in Benson cemetery.
