Mrs. Orren Miller

Pearl Itia Fritzel was born in German township, Grundy county, Iowa, March 17, 1880, moving to Grundy Center with her parents in February, 1894.

She was united in marriage to Orren Miller, of Hartley, Iowa, Oct. 28, 1896. One son, Dorr Miller, was born to this union and a little later Mr. and Mrs. Miller adopted a daughter, now Mrs. Myrtle Wilts, of Wellsburg.

She united with the M.E. church in 1916 under the pastorate of Rev. Dilman Smith.

Mrs. Miller was an ardent lover of her home and family, and to these she devoted the great part of her time and strength. For some time she was in poor health and finally submitted to an operation at Waterloo, about a year ago. Since that time she has been in a weakened condition, accompanied by other difficulties which greatly depleted her strength.

For the past few weeks she appeared to be somewhat improved and the family and friends were very hopeful that she might be restored to health. Encouraged by these favorable symptoms, the family and friends were wholly unprepared for the shock which came to them last Monday evening at about 7 o'clock, when with a moment's warning she passed out from the family circle here to be at rest in the larger circle beyond. A loving mother and a devoted wife has been called away.

Beside a large number of friends and neighbors, there are left to mourn this loss her husband, Orren Miller, a son, Dorr Miller, and adopted daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Wilts, of Wellsburg; two grandchildren; three brothers, John Fritzel and Oscar Fritzel of Grundy Center and Chas. Fritzel of Klemme, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Lenora Pippert, of Hartley, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Eberline, of George, Iowa.

The many friends in this community extend their kindly sympathy to the sorrowing family in this trying hour.

Funeral services will be held at the M.E. church this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. F. O. Winslow.
