Former Conrad Resident Dead

Mrs. Hannah Hancock, a former resident of Conrad, and for the past two years matron at the Boys' Industrial Training school at Eldora, died of scarlet fever Thursday, shortly after midnight. Her funeral was held from the M.E. church at 1:30 Saturday. On account of the disease, she was not shown but the funeral was public.

She was 52 years, 2 months and 2 days at the time of her death. She was born near Marshalltown on a farm and is survived by two sons, Alonzo, of Conrad, and Marion, of Marshalltown. She had one brother, Charles, of Conrad, and two sisters, Mrs. Edith Boyer, of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Mary Ravlin, of Marshalltown.
