Mrs. Henry Jepp, former resident of Conrad, died at her home near Crystal Lake, Minn., Sunday morning, December 4th, following a few hours' illness, death being due to cerebral hemorrhage. The body was brought to Conrad Tuesday evening, accompanied by E. A. and William Jepp and a daughter, Mrs. C. E. St. John.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Conrad Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. M. E. Krotzer, pastor. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery. The pall bearers were W. A. Conrad, W. H. Draper, G. W. Frederick, A. A. White, Wm. Krumradt and T. Binder. Mrs. G. R. Gould and Miss Grace Gustafson sang.
Mrs. Jepp, whose maiden name was Helena Jappinen, was born in Wiborg, Finland, August 13, 1851, being one of ten children. She was married to Henry Jepp, October 12, 1876, and shortly afterwards came to this country. About forty years ago they came to Conrad and made their home there until about ten years ago when they went to Crystal Lake, to be near their children. They returned to Conrad about three years ago and spent a year and then, because of the infirmities of age, returned to Crystal Lake, to again receive the care of their children.
Mrs. and Mrs. Jepp celebrated their golden wedding October 12, 1926. She was the mother of five children: E. A., Henry, William and Mrs. C. E. St. John, who with the aged husband mourn her loss. One child died in infancy. There are five great-grandchildren.
