Found Dead in Bed
Mrs. Detlef Lorenz, well known resident of Reinbeck, was found dead in bed at her home Wednesday morning of last week by her little granddaughter, Violetta Sienknecht, who made her home with her. Death must have occurred between three and four o'clock that morning according to physicians who were summoned at once, from heart trouble. It was about eight o'clock when the girl went to call her grandmother and found her lifeless body. Mrs. Lorenz had suffered for several years with heart trouble and high blood pressure but had had no warning recently that her ailment was growing so serious.
Mrs. Lorenz was born in Germany January 28, 1862. She was the mother of four children, three of whom are sons living in the Reinbeck community; Charles, north of town, and Chris and Albert, living near Lincoln. A daughter, Mrs. John Sienknecht, died two years ago.
