Death of Mrs. Cartwright

Mrs. Frank W. Cartwright, wife of Cashier F. W. Cartwright, of the First National Bank at Conrad, passed away Saturday forenoon at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown of cancer of the lung.

Mrs. Cartwright had been in poor health for the past two years and for the past four weeks had been a patient in the hospital. She was fifty-one years of age.

Mrs. Cartwright was born Lizzie Gressler and formerly lived at Chapin. She became the wife of Mr. Cartwright about twenty-seven years ago and twenty-five years ago came to Conrad to live. She had made many friends during her long residence in that town, and until her health intered was active in the various civic and church organizations of the town.

Surviving Mrs. Cartwright besides the husband is one son, Harold G. Cartwright, well-known young attorney of Marshalltown, a brother, Fred Gressler, of Ackley, and another brother in New York state.

Funeral services were held from the home in Conrad on Monday afternoon and interment was in the Conrad cemetery.
