Mrs. John Albright Dies In Eldora

Mrs. John Albright died at the hospital in Eldora Tuesday morning. She suffered a heart attack at her home in Eldora ten days ago after which she was taken to the hospital. Her condition was critical from the time she was stricken. She was 69 years old.

Spent Most of Her Life In Melrose Township
Mrs. Albright spent most of her life on a farm in Melrose township, Grundy county. She was born at Gardner, Kansas. She and her husband came to Grundy county 40 years ago and resided on a farm there until two years ago when they moved to Eldora.

Surviving are the husband, four daughters, Mrs. Robt. Reist and Mrs. Glen Albright, Eldora; Mrs. Ernest Draper, Grundy county, and Mrs. Rudolph Covey, Salem, Virginia. There are 13 grandchildren and seven grandchildren. One brother, A. H. Gordon, resides in Olathe, Kansas.

Funeral services will be at the Ivester church Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the Sheller cemetery. The services will be conducted by Rev. Heisey, pastor of the Ivester church.

Mrs. John Albright

Marguerite, daughter of William and Elizabeth Gordon, was born near Gardner, Kansas, June 23, 1881, and after a week's illness, passed away at the Eldora Memorial hospital May 16, 1950.

When she was ten years old her father passed away, and four years later, her mother died. She then made her home with the Francis Moore family until her marriage.

She received her education in the Gardner schools. At the age of 16 she united with the Presbyterian church at Gardner.

On February 14, 1901, she was united in marriage to John M. Albright at Olathe, Kansas. They lived on a farm near Gardner where their four daughters were born. In 1908 she with her family, moved into the Ivester community where they farmed until two years ago, when they moved to Eldora.

In 1909 she was baptized into the Ivester Church of the Brethren where she served as a faithful member until her death.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, four daughters: Mrs. Robert Reist and Mrs. Galen Albright of Eldora; Mrs. Ernest Draper of Grundy Center and Mrs. Rudolph Covey of Lynch Station, Va.; thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, A. H. Gordon of Kansas City, Mo.; one niece and two nephews.
