Ed Lynch Dies At Reinbeck

Ed Lynch, who was born and raised on a farm in Washington township, died at his home in Reinbeck last Friday. He had suffered a heart attack on Tuesday of last week and another shorty before his death. He was 68 years old.

Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Monday in the Sacred Heart Catholic church at Grundy Center. The services were conducted by the resident pastor, Rev. Fr. Kress. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery at Grundy Center.

Mr. Lynch was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lynch, who came to Grundy county in an early day. He was twice married. The early part of his married life he and his family lived on one of the Lynch farms in Washington township. About 20 years ago he left the farm and moved to Grundy Center, where he became a livestock buyer. 14 years ago he and his family moved to Reinbeck. In late years he managed a used car business at Reinbeck.

Surviving are the wife and seven children. Two of these are sons from the first marriage. There are four sons and one daughter surviving from the second marriage. The children are Lyle, California; Lowell and Donald, Waterloo; Glen, Dale, Bill and Mary, Reinbeck. There are also two surviving sisters, Mrs. E. E. Brady, Waterloo, and Mrs. Sam Frakes, of Grundy Center.
