Mrs. Arlo Moore Died Monday

Mrs. Arlo Moore who had been taken to the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo Thursday evening following a cerebral hemorrhage, died Monday morning at 8:15. She had been ill for some time with heart trouble.

Mrs. Moore was born Feb. 28, 1897, at Parland, Texas daughter of Marshall and Margaret Jane Barlow. She was married to Arlo Moore Feb. 27, 1918, and they made their homes on farms near Mt. Ayr and Hudson before moving to Dike in 1949. She was a member of the Methodist church and of the W.S.C.S. of the Twentieth Century Club at Hudson. She leaves besides her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Stanley Hogshead of Indianola, Mrs. Charles Plaehn and Mrs. Carson Plaehn Jr. near Dike, Miss Jane Moore of Oelwein, one son, Philip, living near Hudson and three grandchildren. One brother, Colonel E. A. Barlow of Arlington, Va.

Funeral services will be held at the Dike Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 1:30 with Rev. M. T. Baskerville in charge. Burial will be at the Dike cemetery.
