Louis T. Meints Died Tuesday
Louis T. Meints died Tuesday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Freese, three miles southwest of Wellsburg. He suffered a stroke a week ago Sunday and his condition was critical from that time until the end came. He was 79 years old and was one of the early residents of Shiloh township. One of his sons, Louis Jr., is now in a hospital at Rochester.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at one o'clock at the home and later at the First Christian Reformed church. Rev. Joseph VandeKieft will be the officiating pastor. Burial will be by the side of the wife in the cemetery adjoining the church. The wife died 20 years ago.

Ludwig Meints Obituary
Ludwig T. Meints Sr. passed away at his home west of Wellsburg Tuesday noon, March 7. He was 79 years old at the time of his death. He suffered a stroke on Sunday evening, Feb. 26, from which he failed to recover.
Mr. Meints was one of the older farmers in Shiloh township, where he spent his entire life. He was born and died in the same house on the home farm.
Mr. Meints was born May 1, 1870. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tjark Meints. He was married to Freida Bakker March 15, 1893. She preceded him in death Oct. 9, 1929; also two infant children and two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Tielko Sietsema of Milford, Iowa, and his brother John of Hardwick, Minn.
Mr. Meints was a lifelong member of the First Christian Reformed church of Wellsburg.
He is survived by four sons: Charles, George, Willie and Louis Jr.; Ella, Mrs. Dick Freese, all of Steamboat Rock; Jennie, Mrs. Marvin Jeske, Eldora; Grace, Mrs. P. B. Eekhoff, Wellsburg; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Menno, of Ackley.
Services were held March 10 at 1 o'clock at the home and later at the First Christian Reformed church. Interment at First Christian Reformed cemetery, Rev. J. VandeKieft officiating.
