Funeral Services Monday For Alma Janssen

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Eastfriesland church in German township for Miss Alma Jeanette Janssen, who died last Friday at her home in Ackley after a long illness. The services were conducted by Rev. Calvin Siemsen. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Miss Janssen was a native of Germany. She was born in Ostfriesland, Germany, July 9, 1910. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Janssen. She came to America with her parents when she was four years old. The family located on a farm in German township where she grew to womanhood. Several years ago her parents left the farm and moved to Ackley. She had been in failing health several years before her death.

Survivors are the parents, of Ackley; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Huisman, Ackley, and Mrs. Herman Cordt, Dumont; four brothers, Fred, Joe and Arnold, of Ackley, and Herman, of Parkersburg.
