Reinbeck Woman Dies in Sleep
Mrs. Albert Porter passed away peacefully in sleep at an early hour Thursday morning at her home at Reinbeck. An apoplectic stroke, which was not unexpected in view of her health condition, brought the end quietly as she slept. Her husband awakened about 3 o'clock by a slight noise or movement, spoke to her and received no answer. A physician was called at once but found nothing could be done.
Mrs. Porter, who would have been sixty-eight years old on November 10th, had been in poor health for ten years, although always able to be around and getting great enjoyment from her home and family. She was the mother of seven children, one daughter having died many years ago. The six living are Harris A., Mrs. Mabel Fletcher and Mrs. Edith Slessor, of Reinbeck, Clarence, Waterloo, Alden, Oelwein, and Mrs. Lois Hubbard, Grundy Center. These with the husband and four sisters are left to mourn their great loss.
Funeral services were held at Reinbeck Saturday.
