Dike Girl Dies at Hospital

Dorothy Hansen, twelve-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hansen, living near Dike, died at the hospital in Cedar Falls on Thursday forenoon. She was taken very sick on Wednesday afternoon and later she was removed to the hospital for an operation. The appendix was ruptured. Funeral services were held last Saturday.

Obituary of Dorothy Hansen

Dorothy C. Hansen was born in Dike, Iowa, Dec. 25, 1915, and died at Sartori hospital, Cedar Falls, Thursday morning, April 15, 1926, after a short illness of appendicitis.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peder Hansen, and one sister, Lillian. She will be greatly missed in the home and at school for she was a kind, quiet and lovable child.

Funeral services were held at the Fredsville church Saturday afternoon, conducted by the pastor Rev. Stockholm, and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the church.
