E. D. Roberts, one of Grundy county's oldest residents and for many years a citizen of Reinbeck, passed away about one o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lyman A. McIntyre, at Cedar Rapids. Pneumonia was the cause of his death.

Mr. Roberts was at one time some years ago a member of the Board of Supervisors, and was also postmaster under the Wilson administration for four years at Reinbeck.

He formerly lived in Lincoln township but several years ago he moved to Reinbeck.

He was 71 years of age. Funeral services will be held at Reinbeck at 2:30 Saturday afternoon.
