Larry L. Sweet, 59, of Dike, went to be with his Lord on Monday, November 28, 2011 at his home in Dike. A celebration of his life will be 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm Friday, December 9, 2011 at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home Dike Chapel, Dike Iowa. A memorial fund has established.

Larry was born to Jennie Sweet on August 2, 1952 in Grundy County. He grew up in the Dike area and attended school in Dike. Larry worked for Weber Cycle Center until he retired.

Larry enjoyed being with his friends and working with his hands. He was always there to lend a hand. He had a great smile and a big heart. Larry took care of his aunt Hazel.

Larry is survived by his aunt, Margaret Koch of Reinbeck; cousins, Shirley Dufel of Hudson, Rick (Janet) Sweet of Manchester, Robert "Bob" Koch of Reinbeck and numerous friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother; aunts, Edna Andorf, Hazel Sweet; uncle, Henry Sweet; and cousins, Roger Sweet and Leon Koch.
