Albert Graves Dies Saturday
Funeral Services Held Tuesday Afternoon at Reinbeck
Albert Graves, a resident of Reinbeck since 1890, passed away last Saturday afternoon at his home in that town after a brief illness.
A few weeks ago Mr. Graves had visited specialists at Rochester, Minn., to consult them about an ailment that had been bothering him for about a year, but it was ascertained there that his condition was beyond relief and he returned home to live only four or five weeks.
For a number of years after locating in Reinbeck Mr. Graves followed the barbers' trade, later engaging in the general merchandise business. This he sold out some years ago and later he was engaged in the garage business and more recently was postmaster and assistant postmaster at Reinbeck.
He was a man highly respected by all who knew him and in business or private life he was always most congenial and accommodating and his friends were only limited by his acquaintance.
He was born at Franklin, Indiana, about 60 years ago. He leaves besides the wife, two or three brothers, a sister and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the M.E. church in Reinbeck, Rev. Schmidt, local pastor, being assisted by Rev. Geo. E. Shear, a friend of the family for many years.
The services at the grave were in charge of the Masons, to which order he belonged. He was also a Knight of Pythias and Modern Woodman.
