James Cameron, Reinbeck, Dead
James Cameron, one of Reinbeck's early business men, passed away early Tuesday morning at the home of his son, Will, in Waterloo, following a stroke of paralysis suffered several weeks ago. Mr. Cameron was eighty-one years old and had been in failing health for the past three years. A couple of months ago he suffered a stroke and while he rallied for a time there was no chance of recovery.
He was born January 4, 1854, at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. In 1863 he came to the United States, settling first at Fairfax, Iowa, but moving shortly afterwards to Grundy county. For more than twenty years he lived in Reinbeck and was engaged in the harness and saddlery business. With increasing age and failing health he closed out this business and three years ago he went to Waterloo to make his home with his children.
