Obituary of J. Vernon Dickson

J. Vernon, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett H. Dickson, of Dysart, Iowa, was born May 13th, 1924, and died on May 16th, 1924, at the home of the parents of Mr. Dickson, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Dickson, of Grundy Center, Iowa. His fleeting life of only three days was all too brief to satisfy his parents' love for him. God overruled the human desire to keep him and took the little spirit to be with Him from Whom he came. He was the object of much love while he tarried here and the little body was tenderly committed to its resting place in the faith that He who separates the infant from its mother's arms will tenderly in a better world restore them to each other. The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, May 17th, 1924, conducted by the Rev. Earl Wm. Benbow, of the First Presbyterian church, and interment was made in the city cemetery of Grundy Center.
