Death of Ben Kruse

Some days ago Ben Kruse, son of Mrs. Harm Kruse, was taken to Iowa falls for treatment for a trouble that had been bothering him as a result of an operation for appendicitis about two years ago, the wound breaking out again.

Tuesday Mrs. Kruse was called to his bedside and at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon he expired at the hospital in that city.

Ben was a bright young boy and a favorite among his many friends. He was fifteen years of age.

Funeral services will be held from the Drake church, but the exact time has not been announced.

Benjamin A. Kruse, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Kruse, was born in Grundy county, Iowa, March 22, 1908.

About two years ago he was operated upon for appendicitis. He recovered from that, but not long ago it was necessary to perform a second operation. This was undertaken Friday morning, July 20th, at Iowa Falls. At first he seemed to get along well, but on Tuesday night further complications set in which demanded another operation. This was done Wednesday morning at 7 o'clock. In the afternoon, about 3:45, he passed away.

He leaves to mourn his untimely death his beloved parents, four brothers and one sister, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kruse, of Grundy Center, besides many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Lincoln Center church Saturday, and interment was made at the Drake cemetery, near Holland.
