Charles Sharp Dies At Onamia, Minn.

Charles Sharp, a lifetime resident of Clay township, Grundy County, died in a hospital at Onamia, Minn., Monday forenoon. He and his wife were spending the summer at a lake resort near Waukon, Minn. He suffered a stroke at his cottage home about 4:30 Sunday afternoon and was soon thereafter removed to the hospital.

The body was brought to the Johnson funeral home at Conrad where funeral arrangements were made. Funeral services were on Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Conrad. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery. He was 67 years old.

Mr. Sharp was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Sharp. He was born in Clay township, Grundy County, June 27, 1893. He resided on the same farm in Clay township until he and his wife moved to Conrad in 1944.

Charles Sharp and Marie Clifford were married in Eldora on January 6, 1916. They began life together on the Clay township farm.

Mr. Sharp engaged in livestock feeding extensively during his active lifetime.

Surviving are the wife, two sons and two daughters. The sons are Charles of Conrad and James of Altoona. The daughters are Mrs. Eugene Plager, Grundy Center, and Mrs. George Cooper, Garwin. There are 13 grandchildren. Other survivors are his mother who is 91 and who resided in Conrad, a brother Robert and a sister, Mrs. George Lister, Sweetwater, Texas.
