Herro Schulte Dies Monday Afternoon From Cancer

Herro Schulte died Monday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Johnson, north of town. He had been sick for more than a year with cancer. For several months he was unable to leave the house. He was 90 years old.

Mr. Schulte was a native of Germany. He came to this country when he was a young man and had made his home in this community for many years. For several years he resided adjoining the edge of town on the east. His wife died a few years ago. After his last illness kept him confined to the house, he was taken to the home of his daughter to be cared for.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Henry Johnson, and four sons. The sons are Henry and Frank who live in this vicinity, Herman from Cedar Rapids, and Christ from Butterfield, Minn.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon of this week.
