Mrs. Ray'd Garrett Dies at Hospital

Mrs. Raymond Garrett, who spent the early part of her life in Wellsburg, died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown last Friday, following a major operation. (She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mommer). She was 34 years old on the 13th of last June.

Funeral services were held at the Reformed church, Wellsburg, Monday. Rev. W. Landsiedel officiated at the service. Burial was by the side of the mother in the cemetery adjoining the church. Music at the service was by Irene Knock, Luella Lindaman, Hattie Terfehn and Adeline Ruter. Pallbearers were Woodrow Lindaman, Harris Peters, Raymond Riebkes, Bernard Engelkes, Eike Ruter, George Schmidt.

Mrs. Garrett and family had made their home most of the past year at the service station west of Conrad.

Surviving member of her family are her husband, three children, Patricia, 13, Howard, 11, and Lee, 5. Her father, Henry Mommer, resides at Cedar Falls. Her brother Harold lives in Marshalltown. Mrs. John Olthoff, her sister, resides at Wellsburg. Her mother died 15 years ago.
