Mrs. H. Lutterman Dies At Home Monday Noon

Mrs. Harm Lutterman died at her home in Wellsburg at noon on Monday. She suffered from a heart ailment and she had been in failing health for several months. She was in the hospital at Marshalltown for two weeks but received no substantial relief. She had been confined to her home steadily since the first of the year. She was 69 years old on November 18th of last year.

Funeral Services Thursday
Funeral services will be held at the home in Wellsburg at 1:30 Thursday afternoon and later at the Reformed church. Rev. William Landsiedel will conduct the services. Burial will be by the side of the husband in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Was Born in Grundy County
Mrs. Lutterman's maiden name was Mathilda Getting. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Getting, pioneer residents of Grundy county. She was born on a Colfax township farm and she grew up there. She and Harm Lutterman were married 49 years ago on Tuesday. They began their married life together on a farm in Colfax township. A few years later they moved to a farm at Bemis, South Dakota, where they remained seven years. After that time they returned to Grundy county and bought a farm 5 miles southeast of Wellsburg which remained their permanent home. Mr. Lutterman died 12 years ago. The wife remained on the farm until she moved to Wellsburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Lutterman had two children. The only son, Alfred, former county supervisor, died on May 13th of last year. The daughter, Mrs. Anton Terfehn, resides on a farm in Pleasant Valley township. There are three surviving grandchildren.

Mrs. Lutterman came from a family of eleven children. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Three sisters and three brothers survive. The sisters are Mrs. William Johnson, Reading, Minn., Mrs. George Lutterman, Wellsburg, and Mrs. George Hook, Holland. The brothers are Will Getting, Colfax township, Helmut Getting, Parkersburg, and Fred F. Getting, Grundy Center.
