Verna Mae Boelman Dies Suddenly At Hospital

Verna Mae, the 2 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Boelman, died at St. Francis hospital in Waterloo last Thursday morning. She was taken sick with convulsions Wednesday morning and was taken to the hospital on Wednesday evening.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 Sunday at the home in Ackley and at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Wellsburg. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Verna Mae was born October 5, 1944. She lived with her parents on a German township farm and lived there until her parents moved to Ackley in March.

Surviving beside the parents are one sister, Doris Faye, 10 months, and one brother, Arnold Ray, 4 1/2 years. Also the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Koch of Grundy Center, the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wolbert Boelman, Ackley, and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Wm. Stickfort, Baraboo, Wis. A brother preceded her in infancy.
