Henry Koch Taken To Sanitarium Tuesday; Dies Friday

Henry C. Koch, 30 years old, died at the sanitarium at Woodward, Ia., Friday evening at ten o'clock. He was taken from his home here to Woodward last Tuesday. He was taken sick with pneumonia shortly after his arrival at Woodward and his condition grew rapidly worse until the end came.

The body was brought to the home the next day. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon and later at the Shiloh township Lutheran church. Rev. Huneke delivered a sermon in English. Rev. Heinrich, former pastor, preached in the German language. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

The pallbearers were Eilt Ross, Ernest DeNeui, Ray DeNeui, Neil Hoekstra, Edward Ohling and Edward Harms.

Henry Carl Koch was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koch. He was born on a farm in Grundy county thirty years ago on the 7th of this month. He lived in this locality all of his life. He was a member of a family of ten children. The father died a few years ago.

Surviving are the mother, six brothers and three sisters. The brothers are Will from Woden, Dick, Fred, Herman, Christ and Ernest. The daughters are Mrs. Carl Lathrop from Oskaloosa, and Lena and Marie. All the children but Will and Mrs. Lathrop are at home.
