Henry Koch Dies at Grundy Center

Henry Koch died at the home of J. C. Barker in Grundy Center last Saturday evening. He had been suffering the past year from cancer. Two weeks before his death he was taken to Grundy Center for treatment. His remains were brought to his home two miles north and a half mile west of Wellsburg Sunday morning. Funeral services were held from the home yesterday afternoon and later at the Lutheran church of Shiloh township with Rev. Heinrich officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining this church.

Mr. Koch was born in Grundy county fifty-two years ago and he made his home here continually on a farm. He was married twenty-six years ago. Practically all of his married life was spent on the farm which the deceased owned when he died. Mr. Koch was the father of ten children, all of whom survive him. The oldest is about 25; the youngest is 4. The large family of surviving children and the wife have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. Aside from the wife and children, Mr. Koch is survived by two brothers, Will and Fred, and two sisters, Mrs. John Harms and Mrs. Henry Giesking.

Mr. Koch was a successful and industrious farmer, a good neighbor and citizen and a loving and considerate father to his large family. His death while in the prime of life is a real loss to this community.
