Sophia Henze

Cedar Falls--Services for Sophia Henze, 88, of 3112 Boulder Drive, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Stout Gospel Hall in Stout with burial in Washington Township Cemetery, rural Morrison.

She was dead on arrival Thursday at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 10, 1894, at Reinbeck, daughter of Henry and Anna Goken Builthuif. She married Arthur Collings Feb. 12, 1920, at Reinbeck. He died Oct. 17, 1941. She married Fritz Henze March 21, 1956, at Waterloo. He died Feb. 20, 1960.

Survivors include a son, Arthur Collings of Parkersburg; five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Chamberlaine of Des Moines, Mrs. Marjorie Patterson of 2523 Garden Ave., Mrs. Mildred Hayes of Dike, Mrs. Dorothy VanRaden of Allison and Mrs. Vera Price of Davenport; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Platt of Cedar Falls Western Home, Mrs. Etta Lanning of Ankeny and Mrs. Helen Orvis of 522 Denver St., Waterloo; and 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Schwartz-Engelkes Funeral Home in Parkersburg and for an hour preceding services Monday at the gospel hall.
