Billye Gene Lorenzen, 67, of Reinbeck, died June 29 at her home while under the care of her family and the Grundy County Hospice.

Funeral services were July 2 at the United Methodist Church, Reinbeck. Burial was in the Washington Township Cemetery, rural Morrison. A memorial fund has been established.

Born on January 13, 1934, in Reinbeck, Billye Gene was the daughter of G. Donald and Ruth (Snow) Paton.

In July 1951 she was united in marriage to Stanley OKones. The couple lived in Wellsburg before Billye Gene moved back to Reinbeck in 1975. She was united in marriage to William D. Lorenzen of Reinbeck on April 27, 1978. She was employed with Swaney Drug Store and Pioneer Hi-Bred International.

She was preceded in death by her father, and three children in infancy.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters; a son, Dick OKones and his wife Kelli of rural Wellsburg; her mother; her sister; and six grandchildren.
