Christopher J. Roberts, "Cjay", 57, of Reinbeck died May 27, 2006, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. A Celebration of Life Service was May 30 at Prairie Lakes Church in Cedar Falls. Burial was held at the Washington Township Cemetery, rural Morrison.

Chris was born July 18, 1948, the son of Russell E. and Lavon (Strohbehn) Roberts. Chris was raised and educated in Reinbeck, graduating from the Reinbeck class of 1967. On December 4, 1971, Chris was united in marriage to Carolyn Redding. Chris was a farmer and also was a low-boy truck driver for PCI in Reinbeck, working for them from 1992 to the present.

He is survived by wife Carolyn Roberts; four daughters, Christina Schellhorn and her husband Trevor, Cody Bystricky and her husband Jon, Catherine Sass and her husband Andy and Cara Roberts at home; one granddaughter; his father, Russell Roberts; two brothers, Dr. Michael Roberts and Phil Roberts and his wife Judy of Dike; two sisters, Melinda Acridge and her husband Jim and Rebecca Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and a brother.
