H. C. Nederhoff Services Monday At Reformed Chr.

Henry C. Nederhoff passed away at the Grundy County Memorial hospital at 7 p.m. Thursday due to carcinoma. He had been taken to the hospital on September 12th for treatment.

Funeral services for Henry C. Nederhoff were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 at the Wellsburg Reformed Church, with Rev. Gideon Wolbrink officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Special music for the service was provided by soloist, Mrs. W. D. Murray, and organist Marcella Neessen. Flower attendants were Mrs. Jerry Lutterman and Mrs. LeRoy Lutterman.

Casket bearers were Edwin Behrends, Gary Stoehr, William Van Deest, Harm A Rust, Marlin Harms and John Olthoff.

Mr. Nederhoff was born February 14, 1901 on a farm in Shiloh township. He attended the rural school in the area. He reached the age of 64 years, 8 months, and 20 days. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Nederhoff.

On December 12, 1931 he was married to Gesina Riebkes. They made their home all of their married life on the farm, with the exception of one year, which they lived in Wellsburg. To this union was born two daughters. They are Glenys, Mrs. Norman Schouten and Doris, Mrs. Ronald Rieken.

He was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed church having made confession of his faith in the Lord Jesus on December 23, 1934.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents, one sister, Effie, Mrs. Harm Diekman.

Those left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife, Gesina, two daughters: Glenys, Mrs. Norman Schouten of Denver, Colorado; Doris, Mrs. Ronald Rieken of Wellsburg, six grandchildren, four sisters and one brother. They are Tillie, Mrs. Emery Schaefer of Beaman, Albert Nederhoff of Wellsburg; Ann, Mrs. Merlin Dorsey of Waterloo, Jennie, Harry Meyer of Wellsburg, Tena, Mrs. Art Ziesman of Eldora and a host of other relatives and friends.
