Tielko K. Bunger Rites Wednesday At W'burg Church

Funeral services for Tielko K. Bunger were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23 at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the Reformed church. Rev. Gideon Wolbrink was officiating clergyman.

Music was given by Mrs. Irwin Abels and Mrs. Elmer Ruter who sang two selections accompanied by Miss Marcella Neessen, organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. George Hoodjer and Mrs. Burt Neymeyer.

Pall bearers were Coert A. Bunger, Coert H. Bunger, C. C. Nederhoff, Coert J. Nederhoff, Tielko H. Bunger, and George W. Harms. Interment was made in the Reformed church cemetery.

Tielko Bunger passed away at his home in Wellsburg March 20 at 11:45 a.m. following a lingering illness.

Mr. Bunger was born on May 26, 1888, on a farm southwest of Wellsburg in Grundy county. His parents were Koert and Taalka Bunger. He attended the rural school in the area. He reached the age of 77 years, nine months, 24 days.

On October 18, 1918, he was married to Ida Jaspers in Wellsburg by Rev. William Landsiedel. They lived all of their married life in Wellsburg.

Mr. Bunger was a long time member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church. He made confession of his faith on January 12, 1919. He was a veteran of World War I.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents, five brothers, Lambert, Aldrich, Harm, Menne, one infant brother, two sisters, Ettje, Mrs. C. O. Nederhoff and Reka, Mrs. Menne Bakker.

Those who mourn his passing are his beloved wife, Ida, one brother, John C. Bunger, Wellsburg, one sister, Cuna, Mrs. J. O. Nederhoff of Wellsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
