Following a seven-week struggle with an aggressive brain tumor, Harriett (Primus) Dykstra, age 75, went to meet her gracious Lord and Savior on August 14, 2005.

Harriett was born May 2nd, 1930 in Wellsburg, Iowa, the daughter of William and Jennie (Beninga) Primus. She so enjoyed a busy family life with her husband Loren, four children, and later eleven grandchildren who frequently came to visit. She had a fervent interest in reading, cooking, gardening, and travel opportunities to places near and far. She leaves a legacy of goodwill, cheer, and a compassionate, loving spirit.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children Ellen (Donald) Stahl, Gregory Dykstra, Stuart (Ellen) Dykstra, and Natalie Dykstra, plus ten grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Benjamin (Henrietta) Primus; a sister Kathrine (Hubert) Schuller; a sister-in-law Lois Primus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harriett was preceded in death by her parents, a bother, Herman; and a grandchild, Calvin.
