S. E. Wilhelm Dies at Home in Sac City After Heart Attack

Dr. S. E. Wilhelm, member of a pioneer family of Grundy county, died at his home at Sac City, Iowa, Tuesday, September 3, following a severe heart attack which he suffered Friday. Dr. Wilhelm has been in poor health for a number of years but continued his practice of dentistry until this spring. His daughter, Mrs. Margaret Williams, made her home with him. Dr. Wilhelm practiced his profession in Conrad a number of years ago before becoming established in Sac City.

Mr. Wilhelm was born October 20, 1857, the son of Solomon and Mary Ann Boyer Wilhelm. His birthplace was the old Wilhelm homestead located east of the Alice Church. He was the fourth child in a family of 14, six of whom survive. They are Mrs. Emma Lighter of Rolfe; John C. Wilhelm of Kennare, N.D.; Mrs. Sarah Jane Lighter of Moneta; Mrs. Luella Martin of Warba, Minn.; Claude O. Wilhelm of Elkhart, Ind., and Clyde V. Wilhelm of Grundy Center.

On August 9, 1893 he was united in marriage to Louella M. Graff of Red Oak, at Sac City. One child, a daughter Margaret was born to this union. Mrs. Wilhelm preceded her husband in death but the daughter survives.

Funeral services will be held at Sac City today (Thursday). Mrs. Grace Wilhelm of Conrad and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wilhelm of Grundy Center will attend.
