Harold was born April 21, 1931 in rural Wellsburg son of William and Cornelia (Engelke) Lindaman. Harold grew up on the farm, attended German No. 5 through 8th grade, and then attended Ackley High School where he graduated in 1950. He was drafted in 1952 during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Germany for 18 months, being discharged in 1954 as Corporal. On June 20, 1957 Harold was united in marriage to Katherine Gross at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Following their marriage they made their home on the farm where Harold was born. Harold worked for the Grundy County Road Department for 39 years retiring in 1993. He loved plowing snow and helping his many friends in German Township along the route. Harold was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church where he served as deacon, elder and various other jobs. He enjoyed the mission trips and being camp counselor at Camp Hantesa. Singing was his joy, he sang with the Friends Quartet, the Interfaith Men's Chorus and loved singing at nursing homes. He had a special passion for ministering to the boys of the Eldora Training School. Orange AC tractors were a special hobby, especially when he could use them to transport his friends. He was a 35 year member of the Ackley Geneva Lions and a long standing member of Elliott-Keninger Post #252 of Ackley. For Harold there was no such thing as a stranger.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Katherine of rural Wellsburg and his family Vince and Roxanne Lindaman with Lindsay and Valerie of Ackley, Bill and Nancy Levesque with Blake and Madison of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Tim and Lisa Lindaman with Mason, Paige and Seth of Hubbard.
