Dick Mooi, a son of Mrs. L. Mooi, living east of town, passed away at his home early in the week. He was 19 years of age and was one of two twins, both of whom would have been included in the next draft for the U.S. army, except for his early death. He leaves his mother, twin brother and two sisters, all of whom except the mother are suffering from the same disease, Spanish influenza. The young man was laid at rest in the Ackley cemetery adjoining the Dutch Reformed church in their community. The sympathy of their friends and acquaintances will cheer the mother and children, and it is to be hoped they may experience a speedy recovery.
